Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, at Puy-deDomme, France on the 9th of August 1976. Audrey Tautou is the fourth child of 4 children. At a young age, her dental doctor parents as well as her teacher mom supported her love of drama and theater. The passion for theater was the one that trumps her first desire to be an animal scientist. Her meteoric rise as an actor in the young age was swift and marked by early success. The beginning of her career came at the age of 1999 the year she first began performing professionally. Following her studies Tautou participated in the French talent scouting television programme Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was born into an Catholic family and attended religious services, despite having attended school in The Institut Catholique de Paris. In addition to her acting career she started a modeling career. It is her turn to be the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. An avid photographer, she created a show during The Arles International Festival that was titled Superficial. The focus of her photography is celebrity, fame and the media who scrutinized her following her emergence on the scene as Amelie. Also, she has a number of photographs featuring her self. Audrey Tautou's international popularity and success exploded following her role as Amelie Poulain's lead lady in Le Fabuleux Destin of Amelie Poulain. Amelie won international acclai the box office and received acclaim at awards ceremonies across the globe. It is the most successful French language film in the US. Following this success Tautou starred in numerous film productions ranging that ranged from British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday de fiancailles and moving into Hollywood under the direction of Ron Howard of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code alongside Tom Hanks.
