When I had a baby at my side and other children within the cradle would work 12 hour shifts sanding flooring and tearing off wallpaper. Ha! Everything was starting to fall into place, but we were nowhere near done. The project would require an enormous amount of effort and my personal favorite brands to furnish this home. My three sons and me searched for hidden gems while at estate sales to keep my spending under control. It was possible to expand the area because I had plenty of pieces that I was able to use. I started having open houses at my house which saw over 1 000 guests would come through in the span of a weekend. They could buy anything they saw on the ground floor. Growing Days was created in this home. While my company grew and so did our small family. I was balancing the demands of having to start a new business as well as a mother too. Growing Days was the obvious option. Nora was born in 2013 and became our fourth baby. While I was pleased about the direction my company was taking, I realized that I needed to take some time off. I decided to step back to spend time at home, spending time with my family. It was exactly what I needed at the moment. In the course of a few months, my phone started to start to. People were calling me and asking for help with their interior decorating and home improvements. These were mostly customers that came to my house for furniture. I began taking on clients at a time going at my own pace but it didn't take time before I was running several accounts, and I was operating a complete home renovation business. I'm sure you would have laughed at me had you had said that this would become the basis of an DIY Network tv series. As I think about the circumstances I am laughing.
