Katherine Heigl has revealed that she was brought up in a bubble of white and how this realization affected the way she raised her adopted multiracial kids. In an interview, she said recently that, with regards to the color of her skin the issue isn't that important. But after speaking to her sister, who was adopted by South Korea she realized just the different ways society treats them. I asked Meg if when she was going out with her parents she got a particular treatment but when she was on her own, she got a completely different treatment. Meg responded "Oh sure! Every times!" Heigl addressed Parents about the moment she realised her naivet . She said that she was frustrated and thought it was crucial to put her anger towards helping the adopted children she has. Heigl is the mother of a 4-year-old son with her 13-year spouse, Josh Kelley. Their child Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009; Adalaide is an Black 8-year-old girl was adopted by the couple in 2012.
