Jenna Fischer is best known for her role as Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television show The Office, for which she won an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress and two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by the Ensemble Comedy.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but her family was primarily from St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna was attracted by her mother's performance in church at the time she started her journey.
Following the conclusion of The Office, Fischer, who is a trained actress in the theater, went back to her origins. She played Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway play Reasons to be Happy. At the Old Globe Theatre's premiere, she played opposite Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's comical comedy Meteor Shower.
The Office actress Angela Kinsey Fischer, who is her real-life best friend and castmate, launched Office Ladies in October 2019 on Earwolf. The podcast was wildly successful, ranking in the Top Ten of the world every week. It had more than 200 million downloads during its first 2 years. The podcast premiered in January of 2021. Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
She's published two books: The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide where she outlines her path to Hollywood acting as a professional and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends that Were There a memoir of the best friendships they enjoyed and their time on The Office.
